We have a fabulous new sponsor for The Feel Good Festival - Boss Mums Big Day Out !

I would like to introduce you to Charlotte Martin. Owner of Baby Ballet Lanarkshire Central & Tap 2 Pointe Dance Company 🌟

Charlotte’s journey is one of resilience, passion, and purpose. From overcoming personal challenges in her teenage years to building two thriving dance businesses, Charlotte has turned adversity into a driving force for creating inclusive, empowering spaces for children.

About the Businesses

Babyballet Lanarkshire Central

Launched in 2013 with just 30 children, Charlotte has grown this franchise into one of the largest in the UK. Today, it runs 7 days a week with over 75 classes and 500+ students. In January 2025, Charlotte proudly introduced babyballet Shine to Scotland – a pioneering program for children with additional support needs.

Tap 2 Pointe Dance Company

Born from the first group of babyballet students who didn’t want to leave when they turned 6, Tap 2 Pointe now offers a wide variety of dance styles across three locations. With two studios and a theatre branch, it introduces children to the performing arts while maintaining the same inclusive, supportive ethos.

Both schools provide remarkable opportunities  from performing on TV with CBeebies to dancing at Pineapple Studios in London. Charlotte also launched the T2P Boutique, offering inclusive dancewear that celebrates diversity.

What Sets Charlotte Apart

Charlotte’s leadership is deeply shaped by her personal story. Leaving school at 16, she faced challenges that could have taken her down a very different path. Instead, she returned to education, worked tirelessly, and launched her business at just 24. Her vision is clear: dance is for everyone. Through inclusive programs, community projects, and charity events – including raising over £8,000 for Tommy’s Charity in 2025. Charlotte ensures every child has the chance to build confidence, creativity, and connection. She doesn’t just teach dance, she builds confident children who shine on and off the stage.

Looking Ahead

Charlotte’s next chapter includes launching the Lanarkshire Dance Community Charity, offering scholarships for children from deprived backgrounds to access dance training. Her story and work embody what Boss Mum Business Club is all about – determination, inclusivity, and building businesses that truly make a difference.
